This year was a great year for cross country. Jamen ran for high school as a 9th grader and Wiley ran for middle school as a 7th grader. Cross country is one of my very favorite sports. I love to watch how hard these boys trained and how much they improved over the season. Jamen by the end of the season was a different runner. He became competitive and was very fun to cheer for. It was crazy to watch him run against grown men. The picture below of his team shows what I am talking about. Wiley got his first taste of just how hard running is and he ran very well. They both earned many ribbons. The only sad/happy thing is that they are now faster than me.
