Bucket List #2

The second thing on our bucket list was to go to a thing they call "ICE."  It is a huge dome that they keep at 4 degrees and house sculpted characters and scenes from different moves.  Mike had heard about it and was excited to take the kids to it.  In years past they had done movies like Shrek and Minions but this year was on the movie Santa Claus is coming to town.  We had to get the movie to show it to the kids so that they knew what they were seeing.
When we got there they give you an extra coat to put over your already winter attire and then you head in.  Rudy immediately hated it because it was too cold.  The other kids thought it was pretty amazing.  Apparently they start almost a year in advance getting the ice frozen and then start sculpting.  It was pretty cool to see.  It was crazy how closely the ice figures looked like the characters on the movie.  They really did a great job.  At the end and the best part was a life size scene of the manger out of clear ice.  It was beautiful.  I have a feeling the kids are going to remember all these amazing things we get to do here in Virginia forever.
