RIP

RIP Kyle. You were our pal. You showed us the power of friendship as you showed compassion to all, and malice toward none. We will always remember the good times, the best times, as we gaze longingly through the walls of your plastic container that was not a house, but a home for us all. You spent your 33 days with us sharing your extra cricket legs, your black hairy claws, and your quiet wisdom. We will forever be touched through your reminder that there is truly no joy quite like the joy that is felt by a boy and his scorpion. Kyle survived by his very own Noah, who provided him with a total of three crickets, two good night kisses that couldn’t be stopped in time, and 33 fun filled days of being carried around the house, taken out of his cage when permission was not granted, and generating joy and popularity wherever he was taken. Services will be held in Noah’s backyard as soon as the ground is soft enough. Kyle will be buried in the Barker pet cemetery (which oddly consists primarily of pets having belonged to Noah) and will likely not be raised through reburial at an Indian burial ground in the near future.
