Grandma Fayone and Paige

My mom tries to come out at least once a year to visit. This year because we decided to go back home for a couple of weeks and have Jamen baptized there she came out the week and a half before we left and then rode back with us to Idaho. Paige was able to come with her and we had a great time while they were here. I am going to try and remember all that we did but it was a packed week and a half so I am sure I will leave stuff out. We got to go to the Planetarium in Chicago one day with Judy and Aaron. It was really cool. The movies they had there were amazing. The kids really enjoyed it. Jamen especially was very fascinated with everything. One day we went to the beach. Paige is such a fish. We had been there for most the day and when we were getting ready to go she was ready to stay another 5 hours. It was a great and relaxing day. It was super hot but we just stuck our chairs in the water and had a great time with the kids. It is so nice to be so close to the beach. We had Jamen's birthday party. There will be a separate post for that. We went to a few movies. They have the cheap movies for the kids in the summer time. Jamen was not impressed with the Wizard of Oz. We swam in our pool a lot. Caught frogs which Paige really likes. Caught fire flies and put them in a jar to use for a night light. We had a bomb fire and made smores while Mike told one of his great stories. We went to the candy factory, played games, did puzzles, made crafts and colored. The time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to pack into the van for the 22 hour ride home. With the amount of people we had every seat was taken but it was a pretty painless ride. We left about noon on Thursday and Mike drove 20 straight hours. I don't know how he does that. The kids did well. We had to stop in Iowa for a bathroom break during the night. The kids got out and all of a sudden the ground looked like it was moving. There were toads all over the place. The kids just started grabbing them. They had their little hands filled to capacity and were trying to get more. It was fun. They had the greatest time. Best potty break we have ever had. By the time Mike and I swapped after 20 hours in the car everyone was ready to be home. I only had to drive 2 hours and man was it nice to see mom's house. Sad that our time was up with Mom and Paige but exciting to be in Pocatello to see everyone else.
