Recently, as many of you may have noticed, the moist and humid breezes of the rain forest breezed a little less breezy and the once jubilant sun of the Amazon has shown a little dimmer, all in remembrance of our once happy little green amigo, also known as Pedro the Frog Dog. The heavens sighed in anguish, Wednesday, as the now crispy and crustified body of who was once our squeezable (I have video evidence of this) little green pal, was discovered in a toy box in a closet in a room that was once wrought with the giggles of cricket eating happiness. Upon finding his long lost pal and confidant, a very sad, and slightly slumped over Jamen brought his new discovery to his mother, who has, herself, dealt directly with the torments and the joys of the circle of life, and exclaimed “We’re never going to see him again!.”
Jamen appeared better later in the afternoon after a long discussion of the current celestial whereabouts of Pedro, including a discussion of the reality of the current need of Pedro’s twice baked mortal shell. Jamen took comfort in the idea that Pedro was now hopping happily over the floors and stickily climbing the cloud covered walls of Heavenly Father’s house (in search of angel crickets).
Pedro leaves behind three pals, two of which spill their milk every meal and one still pees in his pantalones regularly. Flowers and condolences should be sent to Pedro’s mom and brothers. Pedro’s now perfectly preserved body will be buried in a short ceremony some time this Saturday following a solemn remembrance ceremony, pop tarts, and Saturday morning cartoons.
May we always remember the good times. Rest in peace our little green Frog Dog friend.

You will be missed frod dog! Jdog, they are all over out here you want me to send you one?
We, at the Vanderwerff household feel your pain. Rest assured that over time the pain will dim. Tears will dry and a new slimy friend will find his way into your hearts. Someday. We also had a loss, and in much the same fashion. We had to say Goddbye to spotty the garder snake. His crispied long body was found under the toy box in the toy room. he had been missing for a whole winter. ::sniff:: he will be missed by many, and remembered always as the snake that ate gold fish like they were spagettii. some day (sooner if Sydnee gets her way..) we will find another long wiggly friend to make us laugh and Moms friends scream.
